Shooting was underway in the guest house with Katherine and Connor, who are playing the roles of Daisy and Noah. I was admiring the foliage, and taking in the silence when I glanced up and saw Steve, who plays the Wyatt character, pacing fiercely back and forth. He grabbed his hair and ripped it back with a clenched, frustrated fist. Feeling intrusive I tried to look away. I thought, whoa he must be having some issues right now, I shouldn't be staring while this all goes down. I was shocked that he could walk and stand just a few feet away from me and not worry about me overhearing or judging the intensity of his private conversation. My sneaking peeks turned into an all out stare as he began talking more feverishly. He then appeared to lose the connection on the cell phone. He called back and announced... "This is Wyatt". It was not until that moment that I realized that he was "in character". Not on camera, not being recorded, just totally immersed in character. I smiled to myself.
