Lasagna

My favorite moment in the film: Aleksey's millisecond disapproving look at Wyatt with Wyatt staring down for a long moment before he finally has Noah stop throwing lasagna. That single expression was electrifying. Wyatt is a fantastic character, but it was Aleksey's conviction in that moment that made Wyatt's shame meaningful. Aleksey is a law of physics in ATB--for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. He is everything all the others are not, he is the lush landscape that makes others barren. And I'm talking about characters in the ATB universe, not acting ability, though, all things being equal, meaning,of all the souls that the camera loved, he stood out in that way too. His facial expressions, nervousness, confidence, whatever the scene is, he has it in his self, his face, his posture. Daniel Auteuil has the same sort of command of the screen when he is on it. He's magnetic, a sort of force.
